| Related to the floods caused by the monsoon rains in Pakistan, which caused huge material and damage and loss of human lives, Macedonian Red Cross is joining the preliminary appeal launched by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies for provision of assistance for the affected population from the floods in Pakistan amounting to approximately CHF 17.000.000.

| The long fruitful cooperation with the Red Cross Baden-Württemberg – German Red Cross se continued with a new donation amounting to 23.000 Euros targeted for humanitarian activities of Macedonian Red Cross. The assistance is comprised of hospital beds, wheelchairs, medical equipment and the assistance will be distributed to medical institutions in Macedonia.

| European First Aid competition - Sales in the first 10 national societies that most successfully perform first aid |

 European First Aid competition is part of the European Convention for First aid (First Aid Convention in Europe - FACE) and an annual contest with educational and promotional nature of the first aid teams from the Red Cross National societies of Europe where they show their knowledge and skills in delivering first aid. The 24th European first aid competition was held from 8 to 11 July 2010, in Belgrade, Serbia and Macedonian Red Cross was represented by the team from the Red Cross Branch Centar, winner of last year's National First Aid competition. The competition was held on July 10, 2010 at Kalemegdan and it was consisted of 28 polygons of which 9 in first aid, 9 fun-educational polygons and 10 places for recreation.

 On June 29, 2010 in the “Park of humanity” of the Macedonian Red Cross an event was held for granting of awards-plaques of the Red Cross Branches that have fulfilled the plan for blood donation in 2009. In the address of the Macedonian Red Cross President Dr. Milcho Trajkov, he expressed great satisfaction with the achieved results in blood donation, stressed out the good cooperation with the Ministry of Health and transfusion services, and expressed gratitude to the Red Cross branches that fulfilled the plan for blood donation. The honor for awarding the best 18 Red Cross Branches with plaques was given to the President of the Commission for Blood Donation, Dr. Diana Dimitrova.

| Marking of the world blood donation day 14 june |
 Macedonian Red Cross marked the International Blood Donation Day on June 14 under the slogan “New blood in the world”. The youth of the City Red Cross of Skopje and the members of the blood donor’s club marked the International Blood Donation Day with promotional activities, distribution of information material, pantomime, sending public massage by releasing red balloons in the air, symbolizing blood drops and appearance in the media.

| Free SOS line for the heat waves |
In frames of the foreseen activities within the Plan of Action for prevention of consequences from the heat waves on the health of the people in the Republic of Macedonia, today the free SOS telephone line for provision of information on the heat waves started functioning in the City Red Cross of Skopje.
The free of charge number that is available for provision of information to the citizens is 02 32 21 902 and people can call this number in the period of 10 am to 6 pm. Citizens will be provided with advices and recommendations how to cope with the high temperatures and to protect their health, as well as to be able to recognize the symptoms of possible health consequences and what to do in such situations. |

| Joint action with ALFA Banka |
Macedonian Red Cross in cooperation with ALFA Banka, this year organized a joint activity for implementation of humanitarian initiatives, in frames of promotion of corporate public responsibility for implementation of social welfare programmes for covering the needs of vulnerable target groups.
For this purpose ALFA Banka provided 39 computers targeted for children at the age from 13 to 18 from social case families.
