Disaster preparedness and response – preparedness of the organization for rapid and efficient response in case of disasters

The disasters change the demographic and social structure in the world. They affect the people and change the way of living. As a result of that, the City Red Cross of Skopje continuously works on provision of training for rapid and efficient response in case of disasters. Through lectures, training activities and information material it works on raising the awareness of the citizens, particularly the youth. It coordinates and provides immediate support for the Red Cross branches for development of plans based on assessment of individual risks and the existing resources. It provides a significant contribution for efficient and fast activation of the coordination mechanisms between the city and the RC branches.
