| 100 % Red Cross - Velestovo 2010 |
Red Cross youth summer camp was organized under the slogan “100 % Red Cross”, in the period of 24-30 July on Mountain Galichica in the village Velestovo. The Red Cross volunteers participated on two trainings during the summer camp, one for peer educators for HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted infections and one for first aid make up. 46 new peer educators were trained according to Y-PEER standards for peer education, as well as 15 new makeup modelers from 17 Red Cross Branches. Beside the participants, 8 newly trained trainers for peer educators had their final test and gained certificate for trainers for peer educators.

| Red Cross presentation during “Alarm for the nature” |
 In the period 23-28 June at the camp Ljubanishta – Ohrid, an Eco-music festival “Alarm for the nature” was held, where Macedonian Red Cross volunteers had the opportunity to present their youth related activities. The festival’s greatest intensity was during the weekend when a great number of the national and international music stars had their performance, with a daily frequency of around 10 000 visitors. During the festival, around 50 NGO’s promoted youth related activities in different programs.

| Youth fighting against human trafficking |
 Macedonian Red Cross in frames of the project: “Youth fighting against human trafficking”, supported by OSCE mission in Skopje, held a coordination meeting on December 22, 2009 in order to evaluate the project activities with the representatives of the trained teams from 12 Macedonian Red Cross branches and the City Red Cross of Skopje. The objective of the meeting was to discuss the accomplished results and the effects from the implemented activities, and to provide guidelines for future activities on local level. The participants on the meeting had an opportunity to hear more about the field activities implemented in compliance with the plans for action for the period October – December 2009

| Peer education on prevention from HIV/AIDS and STD’s |
Macedonian Red Cross traditionally organized a campaign for prevention of HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases and for promotion and care for the sexual and reproductive health of the youth under the slogans “Do you know what is safe sex?” and “Everybody deserves to enjoy his/her rights”.
The Red Cross youth clubs organized workshops for youth peer education, public events, promotions, informational stands and other activities on local level in November and December, in order to raise the awareness of the youth for self protection and preserving their health.

| Marking of the International Volunteer Day |
The youth Red Cross marked the International Volunteer Day on December 5th, for a second consecutive year.
This day is marked by the Red Cross in order to emphasize the importance of the volunteer work and volunteer activities among the RC members, partners and supporters. The central event was organized in Skopje in the night club Castro in presence of 200 people, Red Cross volunteers and representatives of many associations of citizens.
